YES! I'm finally back in the game. School starting soon and I have tons of art projects on the back burner.
This is my FIRST submission for 2013 (the year that was not meant to be)
This will be one of many submissions. I am now the proud owner of a Bamboo Wacom* tablet. It's not the best, but it's certainly not the worse.
The only MAJOR problem is that I'm currently using a really old Eee PC Netbook as my computer. It can't handle very much processing, so NO Adobe Photoshop or even Gimp... Which ALSO means, very low resolution.
But NO worries, the future holds many gifts for those with brave souls. I am manifesting a graphics handing computer, something like Alien Ware or equal capacity laptop/desktop.
I actually googled "low processing paint software." I came across a few blogs with people looking for paint programs that would crash their computers. Then I ended up finding Smooth Draw v3. I also had to make sure it was compatible with the pressure sensitivity feature on the tablet...
The other set back I ran into is that my netbook, like most of them, does not have a CD drive. So I couldn't install the driver for the tablet and had to find a generic one off line. Which basically means I can't use the fancy touch pad/hot key feature. But it'll work out once I get a better PC.
You might also want to try out MyPaint (you'll want the Windows (32-bit) version). It doesn't require a fast computer and is designed around Wacom tablet functionality .
I'm not sure what model of Bamboo you have, but all the official drivers should be available here. Just select your tablet model and Operating System and you're set. You might need to uninstall that generic driver first.
I really tired of not havoing the ability to free transform object.
By the way, what program did you use for this? It's not MSPaint is it?
